The perennial question of Reggie Bush

Since the advent of Reggie Bush in the NFL, I've been asking the same question to my Taylor Group football friends:

Three years from now, will Reggie Bush be:

A. A perennial MVP candidate (corrected from "Pro Bowler")?
B. A well-regarded, competent back? (i.e. Thomas Jones)
C. A bust?

Last year, the answer seemed to be B, shading in the beginning of the season towards C. He ended the season towards A.

After one season, it's still difficult to tell. Nevertheless, I vote for B. What do the rest of you think?

I have a write in vote, and that is that is that he will become a novelty player. That means he'll never fill a defined role, and he will make the playoffs occasionally, but usually only in years when his team doesnt do well and has to turn to specialty plays to shine at all.

Well the pro-bowl isn't a good mark of excellence because the fans vote the players in. Due to Reggie's popularity he will be in the pro-bowl every year. With that being said Reggie Bush looks very average at times in the NFL. In college it was men against boys when you compared Reggie Bush to any other player. However in the NFL even second tier guys can catch up with and tackle Bush.(Except Brian Urlacher) Therefore, I would have to say he will be an adequate back but nothing special.

Fair point about the Pro Bowl. Perhaps "perennial MVP candidate" would be a better choice of words.

One point that could possibly be made in his favor is that the Saints could be underusing him or their offensive system doesn't really suit his style. If we see a trade in the next 2-3 years, we'll see if that's the case.
