The most irritating thing I heard tonight.

Former Virginia governor Mark Warner:

"In a global economy, you should not have to leave your home town to find a world-class job. "

Sigh. Well, I'll guess I'll head back to Aloha, Oregon then.

Caveats: Convention, hyperbole, non-literalness, annoying conservative guy, etc., etc.

It wasn't that Obama was going to put 1 million plug-in hybrids on the road.... is he going to buy them all... is he going to tell Honda/Toyota what to manufacture... is he going to tell the consumer what to buy.... Oh, that's right he's a leftist... he believes in social planning.

Forget thinking, let the govt. do it for you.

While some points were important, it was a horrible speech.
