(from a terminal in Las Vegas -- God, it's great to be trapped in the airline system)

(from frigid, -2°, South Bend, Indiana -- I should be in Tampa, Fl, 72°, but a leaking city water pipe, four massive holes in my lawn, the three days it took them to turn it off, the mud in my basement, and the fact they do not work weekends and must return monday to run a new line hopefully finishing by Tuesday, has trapped me here until Christmas)

Sorry, Rich. Hope you get out of town in time (and that the damage isn't too bad.)

On a happier note, the Giants seem to have righted the ship.

Thanks Jim, what a game! Giants still are inconsistent on defense. No pass rush, without Tuck and Osi and Pierce is too slow to make plays. Cold weather in NY should help them against potential playoff opponents in the NFC but it is going to hard to repeat unless the defense picks it up several notches.

I am still in SB. Hayden and Lynette's flight was delayed from Sunday at 7pm until Tuesday morning at 1AM, yes that right, 1AM. They get into Tampa at 3:15am.

The workers arrived at 9am this morning already dug up the rest of the lawn. They told me they know of 9 other homes in my area with no shut off valves at the street. It appears that wasnt a high priority during installation.

They should be done today!
