After listening to NPR's read of the Virginia exit polls, I'm reading a Democrat blowout. None of this close election/stolen election baloney that I'm hearing from liberal blogs.
I think I'm speaking to myself, but I'm really surprised at how close the popular vote margins are. 50.2% to 48%! That's much closer than I thought. As for the electoral college, it's looking pretty much Obama.
Also a surprise that the Dems won't take the dreaded 60 (so far that I've heard.)
Thanks Jim but I remember having what I will call supportive feelings for Bush during his first term. It is their actions in office that determine their legacy. Starting January 20th, meeting expectations (and I don't mean campaign promises) becomes Obama's responsibility.
To steal a line from 25 years ago, "it is morning in America."

I am here JIm. Just taking it all in.
It's really like a ball drop. What's the over/under for the media calling California and thus the election? 8:05 PST? 8:15 PST?
Under. NPR just called it.
Congratulations to President-elect Barack Obama and Vice President-elect Joe Biden. Best wishes for a successful term in office.
Congratulations also to Obama supporters, who have borne the last seven years manfully.

Nice speech, BTW.
YES WE CAN!
"We are not red states, we are not blue states, we are the UNITED STATES!"
Hopefully we can live up to this ideology, work together and better America.
